British Town Language Schools are the authorized TOEFL center. This test, which has been issued in the USA, is now under the name IBT (ınternet based test). Students enter the TOEFL test at their own premises in the British Town Language Schools where they are studying which is crucial for student motivation and ensures that British Town students are always one step ahead. TOEFL is taught either individually or as group trainings, in which students are questioned for all English skills and are provided with strategies and techniques for students to develop these skills during the course of study. The TOEFL Test is a test administered by Educational Testing Services in New Jersey, USA, to measure the English language of non-english speakers. An adequate TOEFL score allows students to be admitted to graduate and doctoral programs, the university is exempted from the preparatory classes and the language equivalents of the students with language education abroad. Many foundations, organizations and companies around the world accept a good score from the TOEFL test as an English proficiency certificate for business applications. The TOEFL test was changed in 2006. Now the test takers are asked to speak English. The exam consist of four parts: reading, listening, speaking and writing.
TOEFL EXAM CONTENSThe TOEFL preparation training program has been prepared by carefully examining TOEFL exam questions from previous years. In this direction, we focus on four skills that are tested in the IBT TOEFL exam by giving priority to grammatical questions that have frequently been asked before and possible words that have emerged or are likely to emerge. Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing skills. The test is completed between 3.5 hours and 4 hours. A short break is given during this period. Computerized TOEFL has a guide and supervisor teacher besides the student. This teacher makes the test how to do it, the use of the computer and technical assistance in other matters. Listening : 40 – 60 minutes, 30 – 50 structure Reading : 70 – 90 minutes, 44-55 questions Writing : 30 minutes 1 topic Listening: your ability to understand American English is measured. Structure: ıt is tested whether the student uses the Standard Written English appropriately. Reading: the ability of a student to read and understand American English is tested. Writing: A writer’s ability to write is measured by a composition that will be written in 30 minutes.
